The Hope Children's Mission, Inc. solely operates on the help we receive from our friends. The
families of the children in Catemaco are never asked to pay for any programs, services, or the
materials we provide to run our mission operations.
Currently, we are experiencing rapid growth in numbers of children wanting to attend our program.
This means more chairs, more tables, more supplies . . . We have already moved once from a small
classroom into a larger space and now have almost outgrown this one.
I am asking you to please consider becoming a part of our support team. Even a small one-time
donation goes a long way to help in maintaining our programs. You may want to consider giving a
small monthly donation to help us to continue the work God put before us.
I have to say, when I first started The Hope Children's Mission a few years back, I thought I
could just fund it with my own small monthly government retirement pension. For a short while that
worked, but not now.
With over 50 children registered and more parents waiting to sign up their children, we are at a
crossroads - do we say "no" to these parents because we don't have enough tables/chairs, space,
and supplies or do we strive to find ways to accommodate more children and expand? We are
dedicated to the challenge and with the help of many friends like you - together, we can help to
inspire these youngsters to dream big, follow their curiosity, trust in God, and grow to become
responsible citizens of this great world.

1 Year Plan
• From private donations - to cover our monthly operating
costs for rent, utilities, teacher salaries, internet
connection, classroom supplies, and healthy snacks/drinks
for the children.
• To obtain an overhead projector to use for teaching
purposes.
• To obtain a DVD player and large monitor to use for
teaching purposes.
• To create an "emergency fund" to be used when the
families of the children sometimes run short of money for
items such as medicine for their children, a pair of shoes,
and in some cases, money for food.
• There is a small public library in town but it does not
contain many children's books. At the HCM, we
currently have a small collection of children's books in
but would like to start a collection of books in
Spanish and English for our youngsters to read.

2 Year Plan
• To obtain a passenger van to be used for field trips, for
use in transporting physically challenged children and
others who would like to attend but have a hard time in
getting to the mission, and for general use to pickup
supplies.
• To obtain 6 desktop computers to set up a computer lab.
Most of these children do not have access to a computer
at home and only minimally in school. We want to teach
them basic computer skills and also use them to let the
children discover and learn about the world outside of
Catemaco. Most of these children have never been far
from home. Some have never even seen the ocean – and
it's only 30 miles away!
• To create scholarship funds for qualified students to help
offset the cost of going to a college or university.
5 Year Plan
• Catemaco has a population of 24,000 people. We want
to expand our operations by opening up 1-2 more
mission centers in different parts of town so we can invite
the children from those areas to attend.
