OUR KIDS HAVE FUN learning and playing in a controlled, safe environment.
The children participate and interact with one another working on art projects, dance, singing, and games.
Our teachers work with them to learn English, Bible studies, and important life lessons they can immediately start to incorporate into their daily living.

About the Kids of Catemaco . . .
Family life is a very important cultural aspect in Mexico. It is not
uncommon for several generations of family members to be
living together under one roof or at least, nearby each other.
Of course, like every parent worldwide, the families of these
children want to provide every opportunity they possibly can for
their young ones to learn and grow up to become responsible
citizens of their country. However, that can be hard to do as the
average daily wages in Catemaco fall between $7 and $15 US per
day. In fact, for many children, it is necessary to leave school
early to lend support to their families by working or taking care
of their younger siblings.
Even though Catemaco is surrounded by dense tropical jungle,
there are very few parks with green grass in town for the
children to go to play. Their areas of play are usually on the
cement streets of the town.
Our afternoon programs give them a choice other than just
hanging out on the streets. This in itself is a blessing not only for
the kids, but also for their parents. The moms and dads have told
us that they feel secure in knowing that their children are in a
safe supervised environment for playing and learning.
